How to Re-Hand a Maco Door Lock for a uPVC Door

This guide will explain how to re-hand a multipoint door lock mechanism for a uPVC door.  It is important to note that this handing guide is for the GTS/WTS Maco Door Locks.

What you will need:

- A flat headed screw driver.

Please note: This can be done by your finger however it is easier to press in the button with a screw driver.

Step 1: Locate the press in button that is located on the lock case and is in-line with the latch. 

Once located put the screw driver against the button and push in – the latch should click out:



Step 2:  Pull out the latch and rotate round to correct handing.

Step 3: Put the latch back to its original place.

When placing the latch back you will need to ensure that you hold the black centre part of the latch apart for the rest of the latch. Push the latch back in and press in there should be a click and the lock case should retain the latch. Now test your door lock:

To re-hand a Maco Door Lock for a uPVC Door, follow these 3 steps:

  1. Locate the press in button that is located on the lock case and is in-line with the latch.
  2. Pull out the latch and rotate round to correct handing.
  3. Put the latch back to its original place.
