Sam Nuckey presents cheque for £765 to Sue Ryder

Window Ware has raised £765 for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice with a special Friday fundraiser to mark the end of Hospice Care Week 2022.

The idea was simple: For every order placed on Friday 14th October - whether it was over the phone, by email or via the website - Window Ware donated £5 to its favourite local and much-loved Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice.

“I’m delighted with the results of our Friday fundraiser,” exclaims Window Ware’s Managing Director, Sam Nuckey. “It just goes to show there’s no let-up for our busy customers who are working hard and ordering every day right up until Friday to meet their production targets and work schedules. And Window Ware will always do their best to support them with the right-place, right-time hardware deliveries their businesses need to run smoothly.”

Sam continues, “October has turned out to be a full-on fundraising month for us already. Adding up the proceeds of our Friday Fundraiser for Hospice Care Week and the money raised by the sterling efforts of the Window Ware Wanderers in this year’s 10km Bedford Starlight Hike on Saturday evening, we’ve managed to raise over £1,200 for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice in just 2 days!”

“It’s an amazing achievement and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our brilliant colleagues and customers. I know St John’s Hospice are going to put that money to very good use and it will make a massive difference to someone right when they need help the most.”

Charlotte Giggs, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, said: “A big thank you to the team who spotted a window of opportunity to raise vital funds for our hospice. Well done to all those who joined our hundreds of walkers at this year’s Starlight Hike Bedfordshire’s too – lighting up the town in memory of loved ones. All money raised will help us continue to be there for the local community when it matters.”

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is based in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire and which provides expert and compassionate palliative care to people living with life-limiting conditions. Over the years, their dedicated team of nurses, doctors and caregivers have touched the lives of several member of the team at Window Ware.
